On Wednesday, September 9, in conjunction with the Illinois State Dental Society Annual Session in Wheeling, the Chicago Component of the Academy of General Dentistry hosted a day-long course on “Real World Implant Dentistry.” Dr. Joseph Kim, DDS, JD guided the group of dentists, hygienists and staff (a total of 65 registered attendees) through lessons he has learned during his over thirteen years of implant placement and restoration experience. Dr. Kim spoke about all phases of implant therapy. He presented his philosophy on treatment planning, the general principles of implant surgery, his tips for impression taking and some hints for designing and delivering the final implant-supported restorations.
