Illinois and Wisconsin Mastertrack

The Illinois Academy of General Dentistry in conjunction with the Wisconsin Academy of General Dentistry are pleased to present programs leading to Mastership certification in the Academy. To complete the Mastership Program, candidates must enroll for 1100 hours of continuing education, 400 of which must be of participatory nature.

These programs, brought to you by the Illinois AGD & Wisconsin AGD earn 16 hours of participation credit for those who attend the 2 day lecture and hands-on course. 34 total hours of participation credit will be given to those who attend the 2 day lecture and hands-on course, complete the assigned protocol in their office, and return to document the protocol assignment with a roughly 10 to 15 minute Powerpoint presentation that includes footnotes and bibliography. The reporting session for in-office protocols from previous Mastertrack sessions will be held at 5:00pm on the Thursday prior to the Mastertrack course. We request that those wishing to report on protocols from past Mastertrack sessions notify Dr. Sy Wachtenheim in advance.

E-Blasts will be sent with details of each course approximately 2 – 3 months prior to the course.

When and Where Are Courses Offered?

The Illinois AGD offers at least 4 Mastertrack (MT) courses in the Chicago suburban area from September to May each year. Additionally, the Central Illinois AGD (CIAGD) offers participation courses with protocol assignments at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, each March, June and November.

Who Should Attend?

These hands-on programs were designed originally for AGD Fellows striving to be AGD Masters. We have since discovered that these programs can be valuable to all dentists from new graduates to the most experienced clinicians.
