The IL & WI Mastertrack Program started its 2015 season off with “A Clear Approach to Aligner Therapy-Understanding What is Best for You and Your Patient” with Neil Warshawsky, DDS, MS. Thirty doctors from nine states attended our program on Orthodontics at the Henry Schein facility in Elmhurst on September 18-19th. Dr. Warshawsky discussed clear aligner therapy, 3D printing, how to plan, design and build an Essix retainer, how to fabricate an H.I.T. retainer, how to create digital pontics to hide edentulous spaces, along with new technologies in orthodontics. During this 2 day hands-on participation course the doctors fabricated Essix appliances, H.I.T. appliances, clear retainers with pontics, and 3-layer mouthguards. Doctors had the opportunity to bring in their patient cases and discuss treatment plans with Dr. Warshawsky and the class. The IL & WI AGD Mastertrack courses offer 16 credit hours of CE, and an additional 18 hours of CE if a protocol assignment is completed for only $640. The IL AGD would like to thank PNC Bank, Dentsply Raintree Essix, Opal Orthodontics by Ultradent, Hu-Friedy, Propel Orthodontics and Henry Schein for their support of this program.
