The University of Illinois College of Dental Medicine 2015 White Coat Ceremony took place on Friday, August 21st. The white coat is the garment traditionally worn by health care providers. The White Coat Ceremony symbolizes entry into the healing profession of dentistry. It celebrates the choice to pursue a life in service to the health of society.
The Illinois Academy of General Dentistry welcomes the DMD Class of 2019 and the DMDAS Class of 2017 into your new lives as student dentists. The mission of the IL AGD is to foster the continued proficiency of general dentists through providing high quality continuing education to better serve the public. The Illinois AGD along with the ISDS, the ISDS Foundation, the CDS and the International College of Dentists spoke to the students about organized dentistry and its role in supporting the students during their journey as a dental student and then after they graduate with their DMD degree.
