MWU Case Presentation – April 5, 2016

Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-IL opened its doors to students in 2011. With the graduation of their second dental school class approaching, the Illinois Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Dentistry International held the first D-4 Case Presentation Competition on April 5th at the MWU Dental Institute. Eight MWU D-4 students presented a case they have completed for IL AGD and MWU Faculty “judges.” The students were evaluated on diagnosis of the case, the problem list, treatment plan and rationale, outcomes and prognosis, photography and articulated casts, their ability to answer questions, and their overall presentation style. The MWU D-4 presenters were Cassie Berens, Karen Kowalesik, Jonathon Ly, Edmund March, Gwen Regnier, Joe Stevens, Samantha Sodini and Joshua Eastham. Three scholarship prizes were presented from the IL AGD (1st) and the ADI(2nd & 3rd) to the top three presenters. The winners were Gwen Regnier, First Place; Cassie Berens, Second Place; Jonathon Ly, Third Place.
