Our MasterTrack participants came together for The World of Special Care Dentistry on October 17–18 to explore the complexities and rewards of caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
This two-day course provided valuable insights into navigating the legal, ethical, and behavioral challenges that often accompany this area of care. Through real-life case presentations and hands-on discussion, attendees learned practical strategies for behavior management, gained a deeper understanding of consent and liability concerns, and reviewed dental materials and techniques best suited for patients with IDD.
