Mastertrack Summary
“Implant Assisted Prosthodontics” by Dr. Miles Cone
The Illinois and Wisconsin Mastertrack Program is excited to report our third virtual hands-on course was a huge success. Dr. Miles Cone a board certified prosthodontist and national lecturer presented “Implant Assisted Prosthodontics.”
Day 1 we focused on the fixed prosthodontics and the steps involved in preparation and fabrication of direct/indirect immediate single-tooth implant provisional restorations. We discussed the impression techniques and materials, contouring and custom staining of the provisional.
Day 2 concentrated on the techniques and materials in implant supported removable implant prosthetics utilizing Zest locators and the pick-up impression technique.
Many may have wondered just how effective a hands-on virtual meeting can be. We can now confidently report that these meetings are outstanding and the doctor evaluations are very positive. The expected falloff from in-person meetings has not been experienced. The audio and visual and overall technology of these virtual meetings is very good.
The ILAGD wishes to thank to thank our sponsors, Straumann, Zest, and GC for their generous support of our Mastertrack hands-on viritual meetings.
