ILAGD & ISDS Presents: Dr. Thomas Dudney – September 7, 2015

The Illinois Academy of General Dentistry (ILAGD) and the Illinois Dental Society (ISDS) held their member benefit joint CE program the day before the ISDS 2016 Annual Session in Bloomington-Normal, IL. This program was free for ISDS & ILAGD members! Dr. Thomas Dudney’s morning program was “BE Aware of Wear: A Systemic Approach to Diagnosing, Treatment Planning and Restoring the Worn Dentition.” His afternoon program was “MACdentistry: The What, When, How and Why of Current Indirect Restorative Materials, Adhesives, and Cements.” The doctors spent an excellent day of learning, networking and socializing. The Illinois AGD held its annual Business meeting on September 7, 2016 at lunch during the joint ILAGD and ISDS Continuing Education program on Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Susan Meyer, President of the ILAGD presided over the meeting and each officer gave their annual report. The 2017 officers and board of directors were then elected and sworn in. The 2017 Officers are: President Dr. Stephen Petras, President-elect Dr. Muzammil Saeed, Vice-President Dr. Charles Martello, Secretary Dr. Brenden Moon, Treasurer Dr. Doug Brown, Editor Dr. William Wax, and Immediate Past President Dr. Susan Mayer. The list of the current and new Board of Directors are on ILAGD.org website. After the CE Meeting, the ILAGD met for its third Board of Directors meeting of 2016. The ILAGD Board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as making sure the ILAGD has adequate resources to advance its mission. The ILAGD Board of Directors are all volunteers who are committed to life-long learning and advancing general dentistry and oral health through quality continuing education and advocacy.
