Speaker’s Bio:
Pathology and Master’s Degree in Stomatology in 2000. He completed his pediatric specialty residency at the University of Louisville in 2009. He is board dual certified in both Oral Pathology and Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Stoeckel is an associate professor in the Department of Pathology at Saint Louis University (SLU) School of Medicine. He is the director of the pediatric dental residency program at SLU and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. Dr. Stoeckel enjoys reading, music, family time, and exercise.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course the participants will:
- Understand the diagnosis and management of dental trauma in children and adolescents
- Improve their comfort level treating patients with selected special health care needs
- Develop a differential diagnosis for oral lesions in pediatric and adult patients including mucositis, soft tissue enlargements and bone lesions
