The Chicago Academy of General Dentistry (CAGD) is that component of the Illinois AGD that produces the Chicago AGD Seminar Series. Beginning in September, we provide 4 seminars given by the best local and national lecturers that we can find. The content is determined by the Seminar attendees, and it is geared towards the interests of general dentists. We have an incredible lineup of topics and presentations our membership desires and we found experts in the area of Dental Implants , Endodontics A-Z , Veneers and Smile Makeovers, All on X Implants , Digital Workflow from Single Implant to All On X ( full mouth rehab) that will prove interesting and stimulating as well as beneficial to our patients and in the subjects of interest to AGD members. The Seminar Series is held at Chicago suburban locations in beautiful settings with great food and interaction with the speaker and sponsors is encouraged. The Chicago AGD Seminar Series is committed to education and continues to provide a terrific value for our member dentists. In addition, our loyal sponsors have partnered with us and continue to support dentists in their commitment to education and daily in our practices. “Dental Implant Site Preparation” – Season Pass #1

Course Description:

Esthetic zone implant dentistry is considered challenging because implant sites are frequently deficient in bone and soft tissue. Dr. Simon will review his methodology for extractions, bone grafting, soft tissue management and accurate implant placement in the esthetic zone.

Attendees will learn:

– learn the least traumatic extraction techniques

– learn which bone grafts and membranes to use

– learn how to assess the implant site and plan the surgery

– learn the socket shield technique

– learn how to achieve success in the esthetic zone

Endodontics From A to Z” – Season Pass #2

Course Description:

Over the last 30 years, many exciting advancements have been made in the field of endodontics. The basic biology has not changed, but the way we diagnose, approach and deal with endodontic disease has changed. In this course we will look at the major improvements in technology and methodology that impact the care that we are able to offer our patients.

Attendees will learn:

1. Learn about the technologies available today that can raise the level of endodontic care for our patients.
2. Gain knowledge in the area of diagnosis and local anesthesia.
3. Become more aware of the relationship between conservative endodontics, proper restoration and tooth longevity.
4. Be able to make better choices about when to attempt to save a tooth with root canal treatment, when to refer to an endodontist and when to extract.
