NIAGD Presents: Dr. Marvin Berman – Pediatric Dentistry – October 30, 2015

The Northern Illinois Academy of General Dentistry Component presented an excellent program on October 30th at their new location-Giovanni’s in Rockford, IL. Dr. Marvin Berman, is an internationally recognized pediatric dentist who has traveled the world lecturing on pediatric and special needs dentistry. Today’s presentation titled, The Wonderful World of Children…Marvin’s Garden’s of Tips helped all the doctors and staff who attended gain the confidence to work with reluctant child patients and their parents without sedation or restraints. They gained a better understanding of the dynamics of the parent-child relationship and how that effects the establishment of a child-dentist relationship. By the end of the course, everyone had a broader knowledge of current methodology for caries prevention, diagnosis, and operative dentistry for children, and understood how to broaden and expand the roles of the dental team to better manage the treatment of young children.
