The ILAGD proudly hosted the 30th Annual Ted Weclew Memorial Lecture on February 19, 2025, featuring the dynamic Dr. Michael Melkers. His presentation, “Case Planning & Occlusion for the Everyday Practice,” captivated both in-person and virtual attendees with its fast-paced, insightful approach to communication, treatment planning, and occlusion in daily dentistry.
Dr. Melkers took participants on a guided journey through practical applications of these principles, covering everything from single-tooth cases to complex, multidisciplinary care. He shared invaluable insights on recognizing parafunctional red flags, balancing function, parafunction, and aesthetics, and managing destructive forces in restorative dentistry—all with a realistic, hands-on perspective.
It was an engaging and informative session that left attendees with actionable strategies to elevate their practice!
