Dr. Priya Tirumalasetty

Dr. Priya Tirumalasetty (Dr. Setty) is a 1997 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She completed a General Practice Residency after graduating from dental school at the Lehigh Valley Hospital and in 2000, established her own boutique dental practice in the Chicago Loop. In 2014, Dr. Setty published an article about composite bonding in the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, the scientific journal published by the AACD. Dr. Setty became an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) in 2018. She also served on the Board of Directors of the AACD for 2 years from 2020-2022, and recently became a graduate of the prestigious Kois Center. Dr. Setty was awarded Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry in July 2023 and is also a speaker for Catapult Education’s Speakers Bureau.

Course Description:

Understanding and repetition is key to developing the skills needed to achieve predictable, beautiful restorations in the esthetic zone. Many dentists may not have the time to practice their preparation and restoration protocols prior to beginning clinical cases. This course focuses on brief lectures on chairside resin veneers and ceramic veneers, followed by several hours of hands-on practice over two days.

Course Objectives:

Following this presentation, dentists will:

1. Review smile design and conservative treatment options for resin and ceramic restorations.
2. Learn simple and complex methods of layering resin using traditional and simplifed materials.
3. Learn and practice protocols for polishing resin.
4. Review and practice conservative ceramic veneer preparations.

Who Should Attend?

These hands-on programs were created for AGD Fellows aspiring to be AGD Masters, but we’ve discovered that they may benefit all dentists, from new graduates to seasoned practitioners.

CE Credit:

16 hours of participation credit for those who attend the 2 days of lecture and hands-on. 34 total hours of participation credit to those who attend the 2 days of lecture and hands-on, complete the assigned protocol in their office, and return to document the protocol assignment.

Price:

The total tuition for Premasters for this course, which includes the reporting session is $1075. MAGD’s receive a $100.00 discount and pay $975. Non-AGD member is $1175. Tuition includes continental breakfast and lunch Friday & Saturday, and a banquet on Friday evening at 5:30PM. Please indicate on your registration whether you will be attending the banquet. **Dr. Gibbs can arrange a Shuttle for the doctors from the Hotel to GC America at 7:15 am Friday and 7:30 am Saturday. The Illinois Academy of General Dentistry and the Wisconsin Academy of General Dentistry are pleased to present this program leading to Mastership certification in the Academy. To complete the Mastership Program, candidates must enroll for 600 hours of continuing education, 400 of which must be of participatory nature.
