This two-day course provides a complete overview of removable prosthodontics, from foundational principles to cutting-edge technologies that are transforming clinical practice. Although removable prostheses have been available for decades, many practices underutilize this important treatment option. This course is designed to refresh fundamental knowledge while introducing modern digital workflows and innovative techniques that enhance precision, esthetics, and efficiency.
Participants will learn a step-by-step approach to diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution of removable prosthodontic cases from conventional to implant-assisted designs. The program will combine lectures, case discussions, and hands-on sessions to ensure participants can apply what they learn directly in clinical settings.
Topics include:
Comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning
Indications, advantages, and limitations of removable prostheses
Classification systems and design principles
Surveying, path of insertion, and laboratory communication
Troubleshooting and problem-solving in clinical and laboratory phases
Incorporating implants and attachments in removable designs
Digital innovations: intraoral scanning, digital design, and 3D printing for removable prostheses
Participants will also engage in practical, hands-on exercises focusing on implant- and tooth-supported RPDs, the use of attachments, and integration of digital technologies for design and fabrication.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans for removable prosthodontic cases
• Identify and manage factors influencing prosthesis design and patient satisfaction
• Understand patient selection and communication for successful outcomes
• Evaluate and select attachment systems for implant- and tooth-supported RPDs
• Integrate digital tools to enhance accuracy, workflow, and patient experience
• Recognize common complications and apply strategies for long-term success
