In adhesion dentistry, it is critical for clinicians to understand the science behind adhesive and restorative materials in order to be able to select the best material for each restoration and implement proven techniques in their practice. We will discuss the latest developments in adhesive dentistry, bioactive dental materials, the best techniques and materials to cement an all-ceramic crown or veneer, as well as the ideal dental materials and techniques. These and other adhesion and restorative principles will be addressed. Topics will include: direct & indirect pulp-capping, resin-based com- posite restorations, post & cores, cementation, and indirect restor- ative materials & techniques for veneers, onlays, and crowns.
• Introduce classifications of bonding agents, advantages & limi- tations of different generations; learn new directions of adhesives. • Understand the issues of adhesion incompatibility with some composites/cements, and the differences between the dual-cured luting cements on the market.
• Learn how to select the proper materials & techniques when bonding different types of indirect restorations, including glass ce- ramic and zirconia substrates.
