Day one: Dr. Ivan Valcarenghi will present a course that provide a foundation dental medicine in general practice. He show how he works with physicians and other health care professionals in the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. He will have a hands-on portion that have attendees participate in several cases for diagnosis and treatment planning of sleep disorders.. Also included in his presentation, Dr. Valcarenghi will talk about sleep tests, the principles of case selection and appliances.
Day Two: Dr. Kirk Noraian will begin with the foundation of doing a comprehensive exam that guides treatment. He will present the spectrum of treatment options such as nonsurgical therapies to regenerate concepts to make decisions about what to treat, when to refer and how to maintain long-term success. To bring this course to “life”, the participation portion will include technologies like lasers, Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) implant placement and piezosurgery. The participation portion will offer firsthand tools and techniques in your office to help elevate your treatment of periodontal disease..

For the past 25 years, Dr. Valrcarenghi has included the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea in his general dentistry practice in Elmhurst, Illinois.. As his practice began to grow in terms of sleep medicine, his dental practice became one of the largest physician referral only dental sleep centers within his general dentistry practice. Dr. Valcarenghi is a diplomate of the American Association of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) and has his Mastership Award in the Academy of General Dentistry. He is past President of the Chicago Academy of General Dentistry and is current President-elect of the Illinois Academy of General Dentistry.

8 hours of sleep medicine dentistry participation credit for those who attend the 11/21/25 course only; 16 hours of Sleep Medicine and Periodontal Dentistry participation credit for those who attend 11/21/25 and 11/22/25 participation credit. (36 hours for those who complete an in-office protocol assignment and report).
