Chicago AGD Presented “Success With Mini Dental Implants: Single and Multiple Replacements” with Dr. Todd Shatkin, DDS.
On Wednesday September 27, 2017, at Maggiano’s Restaurant in Oak Brook, the Chicago Component of the Academy of General Dentistry hosted a day-long course on “Success With Mini Dental Implants: Single and Multiple Replacements”. Dr. Todd Shatkin, D.D.S. presented a very comprehensive review of the Shatkin Fabricated Implant Restoration and Surgical Technique (F.I.R.S.T.). The presentation was accompanied with case and procedural photos.
Mini Implants are offered an alternative the “All on Four” procedure and are reported to be less expensive, invasive and painful. The mini implant can be used to stabilize existing removable partial dentures and full dentures as fixed or removable. Mini implants can also be used for single crowns and bridges.
