The Central Illinois AGD presented Dr. Nader Sharifi on Nov 17 & 18, 2017, on the topic of Removable Partial Dentures.
It goes without saying that Central Illinois AGD has the best courses and most fun ever to be had a dental meeting! The educational highlights were provided by Dr. Nader Sharifi, who spoke on implants and their attachments, designing RPD frameworks to work with them, and treatment planning for our future cases. A protocol assignment was provided for the course. Past assignments are available on the ilagd.org website under CE Courses/Mastertrack. The next educational/fun weekend at CIAGD- SIU-Alton will be on March 23 & 24, 2018, when Dr. George Zehak will speak on Endodontics. Be sure to register!!
The fun highlights centered around Dr. Sy Wachtenheim’s soon-to-be 90th birthday! Sy was lavished with all kinds of cards and gifts at every lunch, dinner and break over the two days. No one could have forgotten that it was Sy’s birthday celebration, as it went on and on, much to the consternation of the birthday boy! Among the gifts (representing his sojourn outside of Chicago): a Ford cap, a couple of bottles of Sy’s favorite Root Beer, and a pile of horse s&*t and a cow pie (both dried and prepared expertly by Kirk & Terry Hess). Sy had previously received a ride in a very special red Ford truck, just for the experience.
