DESCRIPTION:\nTreatment of the Modern Dentist: How to Understand & Manage Medical Conditions in 2026 & Introduction to IV Sedation\nPresented by Dr. Steve Shufflebarger\nFriday-Saturday\, March 27-28\, 2026\nSpeaker:\nFor the last 26 years\, Dr. Shufflebarger has practiced exclusively in the sedation/anesthesia and surgical aspects of dentistry\, at his own practice in Beavercreek\, Ohio as well as numerous offices in Dayton\, Ohio and surrounding communities. He maintains privileges at 3 local hospitals. \nAfter beginning his education at Purdue University studying chemistry\, he continued on to The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where he was honored to earn the Horace Wells student award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Dental Anesthesiology. Thereafter he completed a residency program with Miami Valley Hospital. Dr. Shufflebarger has achieved the status of Master of the College of Sedation with the ADSA. \nDr. Shufflebarger has an eagerness to learn\, study and share his research\, knowledge\, and techniques which is evident in his experience with teaching at Miami Valley Hospital\, University of California-San Francisco\, Jacksonville University\, Wright State University\, Premier Health and similar universities\, hospitals and organizations. Currently\, Dr. Shufflebarger is the Managing Director of Miami Valley Hospital’s Department of Medical Education’s long standing comprehensive Moderate Sedation training series\, where he creates and teaches didactic\, skills and simulation content for sedation training. He has instructor status and trains medical professionals in BLS\, ACLS\, and PALS. \nCourse Description:\nThis course provides a thorough medical evaluation tailored for general dentists treating today’s increasingly complex dental patient.
