DESCRIPTION:  \n\nSpeaker: Joseph Kim\, DDS \nWednesday\, September 9\, 2015\n8:00 am to 4:00 pm (Registration at 7:30 am)\n7 CE Lecture Credits\nWestin North Shore\, Botanic Garden Ballroom 601 N Milwaukee Ave\, Wheeling\, IL  \nILAGD Annual Business Meeting – Election and installation of officers will be held before lunch at 11:45 am.  \nSpeaker biography: \nJoseph Kim\, DDS graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2001. He has maintained a general practice in Yorkville and Sugar Grove\, where he has focused on sedation and implant dentistry. Since 2008\, Dr. Kim has trained hundreds of dentists in implant surgery and restoration\, with support from various implant and dental materials manufacturers. Additionally\, Dr. Kim operates an in-house dental laboratory which provides unique implant prosthetic solutions to clinicians across the country. He is the Illinois and Michigan Course Director for Hiossen’s AIC Basic and Intermediate Implant Courses\, and Clinical Director at Modern Implant Institute\, which provides continuing education in advanced implant and grafting topics.  \nCourse description: \nImplant dentistry continues to be one of the hottest fields in dentistry\, but with its popularity\, more problems seem to arise than are solved. For example\, clinicians are bombarded daily with manufacturer claims of superiority\, and are lead to believe that certain products or procedures are more predictable than others. Also\, surgical specialists may limit restorative options by placing implants in surgically convenient positions or by avoiding certain augmentation procedures. In this course\, we will address these and other questions from both evidence based and anecdotal per- spectives.
